I worked with Eric Lauwers in Belgium to resolve a set of issues post a SAP implementation and vendor change. Eric served in the role as my project coordinator/project manager. We were faced with a substantial set of issues that ranged as simply as finding a place to sit with a telephone to avoiding a plant strike due to incorrect system data. Eric quickly helped to organize and document the outstanding issues. He made quality assessments and his suggestions showed an understanding of the technologies and processes needed to solve issues and run projects. In addition his multi language/cultural skills helped communications in the highly divers, multi-vendor and at time, extremely polar environment. With his help we were able to merge the IT-business-vendors together to generate a set of solutions. Mr. Lauwers has repeatedly demonstrated a solid technical understand of IT using best of skills knowledge in project management and project reporting. The General Motors environment is highly matrix-ed which includes multi vendors often in the same space. Mr. Lauwers does an excellent job of determining when to be lead and when to follow. He remains on good terms with all across the differing cultures and process. Based on Eric's work and previous experiences post the SAP activity, I recommend Mr. Lauwers a role for project manager in GM's European PeopleSoft project. Eric has worked to date on this role across GM's Europe PS role out. I enjoyed working with Eric and would recommend him to others.‚Äù Top qualities: Great results, Personable, High Integrity.
